San grew up in a family of bakers. His father and brother learned the trade in Cambodia, and he brought it to Narrabeen.
He and Sokhary have run Ocean Bakehouse for 25 years. They still start before dawn and bake on site, which is why there are Aussie pies, French pastries, proper cream cakes and Vietnamese rolls all in the one cabinet.
